This buffer has a piston that is hydraulically dampened to absorb the shock of impact from the bolt carrier's rearward motion and to prevent bolt bounce as a new cartridge is chambered. You will feel less recoil and smoother operation with this buffer and you will see less movement of your sights during recoil for faster shot to shot recovery time.

The hydraulic seal and porting technology used in this buffer has been thoroughly proven. Designed for 5.56mm / .223 cal. AR-15 with a collapsible stock. Works with factory buffer springs. But for greater improvement and the smoothest/quietest operation, pair with a JP Tuned and Polished Extra Power Carbine Buffer Spring or a Sprinco Blue Enhanced Power Buffer Spring. If you need the strongest AR carbine spring, pair with the Sprinco M-4 Extra Power Buffer Spring (their Red Spring). For 450 Bushmaster we recommend this buffer with the Sprinco Red extra power spring.
